众所周知，西瓜味道甘甜多汁，可以解渴消暑，还有很好的利尿作用，是盛夏佳果，还有“天然白虎汤”之称。西瓜浑身是宝，西瓜瓤含葡萄糖、果糖和蔗糖，西瓜子可做茶食，瓜皮可加工成西瓜酱，还可晒干做成咸菜，具有美容作用。西瓜好处多多，但是比较寒凉，而夏天大家都喜欢冰冻之后才吃，这样吃健康吗？

吃西瓜三不要

不要贪凉：西瓜具有消烦止渴，解暑热的功效，本身就是生冷之物。而脾胃最怕寒凉，且脾胃虚寒是个慢性积累的过程，短时间内不易被发现。如果是冰镇西瓜，外暑内寒，更易给身体造成刺激。因此，不要贪一时之凉爽，从冰箱里拿出的西瓜最好放室温1小时左右后再食用。

不要单吃：由于西瓜性寒凉，最好不要空腹食用。为了平衡西瓜对脾胃的刺激，可食用一些温热食物，比如大麦茶或红茶，或与荔枝桂圆等温热水果配合吃。

不要贪多：西瓜含水量高，又甘甜可口，很多人都会用西瓜来代三餐中的一餐，以为能减肥，殊不知西瓜含糖量高，且多是单糖和双糖，如果没有蛋白质的补充，很容易造成营养素的不均衡。而一次食用过多还容易引起腹胀、腹泻、食欲下降等现象，大量的水分还会冲淡胃液，引起消化不良和胃肠道抵抗力下降的现象。所以，吃西瓜适量为宜，不要贪多。

怎样正确吃西瓜？

如今市面上的西瓜种类繁多，个头大小都有，如果买多了应如何处理呢？

不要吃打开过久的西瓜：西瓜打开之后，瓜瓤直接与空气接触，很容易感染细菌，导致变质，食用了这些西瓜，会导致肠道传染病的发生。西瓜最好现买现吃，不要储存过久。

要有隔离措施：对于没有吃完的西瓜，最好包上保鲜膜，放入冰箱，这样可以有效隔绝与空气中微生物的接触，防止交叉感染。实验表明，低温可以有效抑制微生物的繁殖，减缓食物腐败变质的速度。如果还有所担心的话，可以在食用前将暴露在外的瓜瓤去除。

吃西瓜的禁忌

一般来说，只要注意控制量，西瓜适用于大部分人群。但是西瓜的升糖指数为72，属于高GI（血糖生成指数）食物，容易导致血糖迅速升高，糖尿病人一定要注意不能一次食用过多。对肾功能不全者，由于肾脏对水的调节能力降低，不能及时将体内过多的水分排出体外，会导致血容量急剧增多，也不能一次食用过多。

只要控制好食用量，西瓜这种消暑圣品还是能成为每个爱好者解暑热之佳品。
